Can you drive after Spravato? Not until the next day.
You can't drive after a Spravato treatment until the next day, after a night's sleep. Someone else takes you home, and that's the one piece of planning Spravato asks of you. Here's how our patients handle it, from family drop-offs to covered rides for NJ Medicaid patients.

How long after Spravato can you drive?
You can drive again the day after a Spravato treatment, once you've had a night's sleep (Spravato Prescribing Information). Even when you feel fine after your two hours with us, alertness and reaction time can stay a little slower for the rest of the day, so driving, operating machinery and anything that needs full attention wait until tomorrow. The medicine itself clears from your body over the next couple of days. Driving aside, most of our patients find that after the first treatment or two they don't need much rest at all and simply get on with their day.
Feeling like yourself comes before full alertness.
Most people feel close to normal when they leave. The next-day rule covers the gap between feeling fine and being fully sharp behind the wheel.
