We accept TRICARE, the health program for service members, retirees and their families, for Spravato treatment of depression that hasn't responded to at least two antidepressants. We handle the authorization and any appeal, and you can be treated at any of our four New Jersey offices.
Does TRICARE cover Spravato?
TRICARE can cover Spravato for treatment-resistant depression, usually with a prior authorization showing your diagnosis and the antidepressants you've tried. We put the request together at your evaluation and follow it through. Your share depends on your TRICARE plan, and we check it before you start.
One difference with TRICARE: the medicine itself is supplied by a REMS-certified pharmacy rather than from our office's own stock. We arrange that for you as part of the approval, so it's one more step on our side, not yours.

What if TRICARE denies Spravato?
If TRICARE denies Spravato, we don't leave it there. We always request a peer-to-peer review, always file a second-level appeal if that fails, and always pursue independent review if the appeal fails. Across all insurers, 34 of 36 denials were overturned in our most recent internal review.
