What the numbers mean

The northern towns have the easiest trip.

Lakewood, the county’s largest town, is about 68 minutes from Bridgewater, and Jackson about 72. Brick is around 77, Toms River and Manchester about 85, and Berkeley a little over 90.

Bridgewater is the nearest of our offices from every town we measured; the others add 15 minutes or more.

What a visit day looks like

Plan on most of a morning.

From Toms River, a treatment day is roughly an hour and a half each way plus a little over two hours in the office. A Saturday visit, 8 AM to 2 PM, keeps that off the work week and away from weekday traffic.

Sharing the drive

Saturdays, one weekday and a second driver.

Many patients from the Shore plan the first month around Saturdays and one weekday, with a family member or friend sharing the driving. On NJ Medicaid? We help set up an insurance-covered ride.

Being straight with you

If the drive won’t work, we’ll say so.

Spravato only helps if you can keep to the schedule. If an hour and a half each way isn’t realistic for you, tell us on the first call; we’d rather say so early than have you stop halfway through.
